Epoxy bonds to concrete at the molecular level — nothing adheres better to a properly ground slab. Polyaspartic, on the other hand, is UV-stable and cures fast, making it the superior topcoat for durability and appearance. Using both gives you the best of each product where it counts. A one-product system is a shortcut — and shortcuts are why floors fail.
How does Atlanta’s humidity affect a garage floor coating?
It’s the number-one reason coatings fail in this market. High humidity and the Atlanta water table create moisture vapor pressure beneath concrete slabs that will push a coating off the surface if you don’t use the right primer. Professional installations use diamond grinding. That’s the difference between a floor that lasts one summer and one that lasts 15 years.
